Duration & Type : 6 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client
Location : East Hanover, NJ – Hybrid
Description : As the Principal Design Process and Systems Architect, you will be responsible for the agency adoption of our design system that drives the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of our various digital products and assets. You will work closely with the Director of UX Design and Research, UX Product Manager, Agencies of record, Senior Leadership and various brand / product teams to conduct aesthetic compliance reviews of websites, conceptualize new ideas, promote component adoption, develop mock-ups and prototypes, and ensure all elements of the user experience are optimized for improved usability, accessibility, usefulness and exceptional visual design. You will also promote new visual elements within our web design system and be a champion of design system adoption. The successful candidate will display a passion for delivering responsive and creative solutions to UI / UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in UX design and UI technology.
Responsibilities :
- Perform aesthetic compliance reviews of brand websites to ensure proper design system adoption and execution.
- Curate and improve our above brand design system
- Propose new components and enhancements to existing components
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
- Own the above brand design experience and make sure there is consistency across all product verticals
- Lead and participate in the brainstorming of and creation of concepts for best-in-class user experiences
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and best in class user interfaces.
- Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and what they look like. Course correct site builds that are not following internal design standards.
- Work closely with fellow creatives, marketers and developers to ensure the solidity of the design system
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness & adaptive design). Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and adhere to corporate brand guidelines
