Job description This role will be focused on implementing, configuring, and supporting the "Financial Accounting" (FI) module within the SAP ERP system, primarily responsible for managing a company's financial transactions, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger (GL) functions, requiring a strong understanding of accounting principles and expertise in the SAP FI functionalities to analyze business needs and design solutions within the system.
Role Description . This is a hybrid role with very limited on-site requirements. It is a team member role who reports to an FI / CO Architect and Project Manager. The role is for a FI team member to address shortcomings in existing FI functionality within an existing SAP ERP (ECC 6) implementation. You will activate and configure function with AR / AP and GL and UAT and EUT documentation. May be asked to provide Knowledge Transfer (Training) on-site upon completion of the new functionality deployment.
SAP FI Consultant - Responsibilities :
- Business Requirement Gathering : Understanding client business processes and gathering detailed financial requirements to map them to SAP FI functionalities.
- Configuration and Customization : Setting up the SAP FI module according to specific business needs, including chart of accounts, posting keys, and document types.
- Data Migration : Transferring existing financial data from legacy systems into the SAP FI module.
- Functional Design : Creating detailed functional specifications for customizations and enhancements within the SAP FI module.
- Testing and Quality Assurance : Performing thorough testing of SAP FI functionalities to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- User Training and Support : Providing training to end users on how to utilize SAP FI features and resolving user queries.
- Reporting and Analysis : Generating financial reports and performing analysis using SAP FI functionalities to support decision-making.
- Project Management : Contributing to the overall project lifecycle of SAP FI implementation, including planning, execution, and deployment.
