Personnel Security Analyst/Assistant
Information Discovery Services LLC (IDS) is seeking Personnel Security Analysts (PSA).
This job is a hybrid remote position in the office of our federal customer in Farmer's Branch, TX. The work schedule is both work at home and some days in the office.
You must reside within 50 miles of Farmer's Branch, TX
All employees will undergo a public trust investigation and must receive a favorably adjudicated investigation.
Essential Functions of the Personnel Security Analyst
Perform clerical, administrative, and professional services in support of processing personnel security actions, to include:
- Initiate, receive, review, and determine the accuracy and completeness of personnel security forms.
- Prepare personnel security files (PSFs) and associated documents and ensure they are electronically uploaded to the authorized database.
- Receive processing requests and determine if requests contain all documents necessary to assign to federal personnel.
- Create, assign, and distribute new cases to federal personnel.
- Generate case data tracking reports within approved Information Technology (IT) systems to provide workflow accountability.
- Scan and upload documents and correspondence.
- Perform various database checks, inquiries, and record findings.
- Request and receive background investigation products from investigation service providers.
- Conduct fingerprinting and process fingerprint checks.
- Perform general personnel security, clerical, and administrative functions.
Minimum Qualifications for the PSA
- High School diploma
- One (1) year of relevant experience
US Citizenship and Residence
Only U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents are eligible for employment on this contract.
Employees must currently reside in the United States or its Territories. Additionally, employees are required to have resided within the United States or its Territories for three or more years out of the last five.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Administrative – Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
Interpersonal –Must possess human skills enabling effective interaction with employees, customers, and public sources and providers from various backgrounds.
Organizational – Organization skills are key, must be able to manage a large case load and document progress of each case while maintaining defined timeliness parameters.
Analytical – Excellent writing and computer competency skills. Ability to plan and solve problems.
Communication – Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to listen and follow through on requests. Exceptional telephone etiquette and professionalism.
Physical Requirements – Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods. Moderate lifting.
