Role: Senior SQL Database Administrator

Location: Madison, WI

Job Description:

The Database Administrator's primary responsibility will be to work with application developers to integrate databases with applications. They will collaborate with developers and project team members, analyze requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas. They will be responsible to manage SQL database backups, recovery procedures, and be a liaison with the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) in the validation of server patching, software upgrades, user access controls, and the creation of new servers or database in the Enterprise SQL or Oracle environment.

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

8 Years of Experience in the below required

• Experience with SQL database and services in supporting application development teams.
• Experience with current and legacy versions of SQL
• Collaborate with developers and project team members, analyze requirements user requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and update data within the database.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in PowerBI with reporting or database analysis
• Experience with supporting Oracle databases for Java applications.
• Experience in the migration of application databases to a new platform
