Apps Development Group Manager

The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to collaborate with Operations Executives to create automated reporting and metrics that inform and provide insight into the health of the business.

The position will lead critical transformational operations reporting strategy and efforts in multiple functions, which can change over time, leading teams through Software Design Life Cycle projects, with superb documentation and control practices to ensure safety and soundness requirements of Citi's data integrity standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., coaching, performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Develop and maintain 12-month roadmap for all functions, influencing change through multiple organizations to accomplish objectives.
• Ensure documented exceptional demand and capacity management.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures in previous similar roles, as well as knowledge of other areas or disciplines to bring fresh perspectives in identifying opportunities, mitigating issues, and driving projects to timely and accurate conclusion.
• Ensure essential procedures and Operational Reporting branding procedures are followed and show leadership in defining standards
• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
• Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated success in team leadership
• Experience in applications and reporting development
• Experience using Tableau and other BI tools
• Experience in management (including managers of others)
• Experience managing global technology teams
• Experience in technology platform conversions
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
