The Engineering Manager is responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the technical foundation for Express Payments offerings, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration with partner ecosystems.
• Define and implement the technical architecture and infrastructure strategy for the tech platform, ensuring it meets and exceeds our stringent 99.99% uptime and 5000 TPS requirements.
• Establish the technical vision and roadmap for global instant payments processing, optimizing for high throughput, low latency, and 24/7 availability across 63 markets.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust payment systems across all three pillars, adhering to industry standards.
• 12 years of engineering experience building multi-tiered payment engines with high availability and throughput including 5 years of management experience.
• Strong history of driving, leading Solutions Architecture.
• Experience in program management preferably from a applications development background.
• Experience managing global teams and driving progress by influence and ownership.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience driving cloud roadmap strategy and definition is preferable.
• Experience with public (AWS) or hybrid cloud is preferable (Kubernetes or K-native)
• Experience with modernizing and migrating applications/clients to strategic architectures
• Experience building hybrid cloud architectures leveraging Java, Kafka, Spring, Mongo.
• Working knowledge of industry practices, codified controls and standards.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of engineering experience building multi-tiered payment engines with high availability and throughput including 5 years of management experience.
• Strong history of driving, leading Solutions Architecture
• Experience in program management preferably from a applications development background
• Experience managing global teams and driving progress by influence and ownership
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
