The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.Under the direction of an IT Director, under the Dedicated Support, DOH team . The candidate for this position will be required to act as a lead and perform building the relationship between Department of Health and Information Technology Services (ITS). The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Lead, direct and manage the Albany and Wadsworth workplaces services zones workload and staff.• Resolve and manage all ITSM ticketing backlog • Collaborate with the enterprise service owners to ensure all equipment is maintained, stored, tracked and deployed appropriately. • Manage and coordinate on all processes for ordering, storing, and distributing client compute devices. • Work in conjunction with enterprise services to maintain the platforms used to deliver standard software packages, patches and upgrades. • Interact with vendors for technical support as needed to solve hardware/software problems or gain product insights. • Manage strategy for ITS and DOH owned ITSM resolver groups. Ensure ITSM groups are properly functioning, maintained and managed. • Document and oversee the creation of workplace services standards, procedures and guidelines necessary to meet the complex computing requirements of DOH. • Ensure WPS functions comply with ITS enterprise and security policies and standards. • Collaborate closely with ITS cross-functional teams (Shared services, Network, BAS, Procurement, Finance, CTO, CISO, Legal, etc.) in managing initiatives.• Design, create and implement executive dashboards and reports to showcase SLA compliance where applicable. Communicate effectively with executive management as required.• Manage time effectively to address priorities, deadlines and additional assignments• Work with technical and functional area experts and others as needed to develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and solutions available. • Provide courteous, professional and timely resolution of issues• Maintain a positive and productive work environment internally within ITS and externally with Agency partners• Perform all supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as a Manager Information Technology Services 1, SG27/M2, OR in a position at the SG25 or M1 level or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law.
