Network Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's or associate’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
· Work experience with end-user support, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems considered in lieu of a degree.
· Experience in providing technical support to end-users in a business or education environment.
· Knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop/laptop hardware, and common software applications.
· Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
· Basic understanding of network connectivity and network troubleshooting.
· CompTIA A certification or CompTIA Network certification is a plus.
· Experience working with and managing Google Chromebooks is a plus.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

JOB GOAL
Supports the district by installing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting end user devices and applications including network peripherals and print devices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote support tools.
· Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including VoIP phones, network printers, and copiers.
· Assist with network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting WiFi connections and basic VLAN port issues on switches.
· Set up and configure user accounts and software applications.
· Collaborate with the network team to address network-related concerns and escalate issues as needed.
· Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including issue resolution and troubleshooting steps.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

- An Associate's degree in in a relevant technology field strongly preferred.
- Work experience with end-user support, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems in a Windows environment may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in a support role within an IT or network operations environment. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- CompTIA Fundamentals or higher required. Applicants without the required CompTIA Fundamentals certification must obtain it or higher within one year of hire.
- Basic understanding of network fundamentals, Windows OS, and desktop hardware.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop/laptop hardware, and common software applications used in a network environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.

Essential Functions
- Provide first-level technical support and escalate complex issues.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Monitor network performance at a basic level.
- Engage in learning opportunities and seek mentorship for skill enhancement.
- Collaborate with the IT department on all network projects.
- Participate as necessary as part of the District’s Cybersecurity team.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote support tools.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, network peripherals and IoT devices.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including basic troubleshooting or wireless connections and basic network switching issues.
- Use the District technology ticket system to complete accurate documentation of service requests and incidents, including issue resolution and troubleshooting steps.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Support end-users on the proper use of hardware, software, and network resources.
- Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
