Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Cycle Leader to join our team. If you have the skills and experience for this position and are driven by achieving a high standard of results, this position is a good match for your skills and expertise.
This individual will be able to lead a multi-state medical group with a high volume of medical staff members while supporting our strategic vision. This position requires experience in a medical billing department and it's operations, including multi-specialty physician billing insurance, contracting, credentialing, and key components of practice management metrics and reporting to oversee a rapidly growing medical group.
The Revenue Cycle Leader will oversee all billing department operations, manage both internal staff and contracted billing relationships. Responsibilities include daily oversight of medical billing including software management, daily billing throughput, coding, collections, A/R, insurance oversight, posting and follow up, credentialing, oversight and strategy for regulatory changes and denials management and appeals process. Additionally, you will be strategic in directing medical staff on processes for coordination of services and business operations. As a strategic leader of the organization will participate in and support the company’s strategic plan, goals, objectives, mission and philosophy of the company. Additionally, you will assist in the completion and execution of practice management objectives, monitoring of regulations and programs to provide guidance to the executive leadership team. They also ensure the efficient and effective operation of all post-acute care service lines. Provide administrative support as necessary. A critical team member for expansion initiatives, including adding new programs and states.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field of healthcare preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years in revenue cycle leadership
- Minimum of 6-10 years in Physician Medical Billing
- Experience Managing and or supervising medical billing specialists.
- Experience with a variety of medical billing software systems and implementation.
- Medical Billing Certification preferred but not required.
- Medical coding preferred but not required.
- Must possess proficiency and knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations and understand provider and company credentialing.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations including CMS, Fiscal intermediary, LCD’s, third party insurance.
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office, proficiency in excel and excellent technical skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Team oriented and the ability to engage and motivate team members.

- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving well-organized and detail oriented
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Extensive clinical knowledge and proficiency in physician revenue cycle management to provide oversight, compliance and direction for billing department operations both financially and operationally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage defined systems and processes and successfully convey knowledge and learning to direct reports.
- Knowledge and proficiency in credentialing, insurance contracting and privileging for providers.
- Maintains billing software for revenue cycle goals and objectives.
- Proficient in medical billing/collection charge reconciliation practices/A/R, payment posting, coding and submission of clean claims to various insurance companies (electronically or by paper) stem to stern.
- Maintains positive customer relations that integrate to revenue cycle management.
- Provides leadership and support toward corporate quality improvement, and coordination of educational activities which are designed to improve the performance of the billing department, clinical staff; to foster operational functions.
- Supports compliance with documentation standards for all service lines for regulatory compliance and accuracy within reimbursement and field operations.
- Supports and maintains recording and reporting of reimbursement systems to ensure proper service and uniform accounting and data collection. Works closely with financial operations using defined reporting processes and assists in developing plans of action to correct,
- Maintains current knowledge with legislative, community, and payment issues that impact and affect organizational service lines.
- Ability to respect the privacy of clients and to refrain from discussing their personal situations and problems with other clients, particularly as it relates to their health.
- Assists with regional and local training/education activities as needed for appropriate portions of new hire orientation, continuing education and/or career development.
