LPN/LVN Med-Surg – Night Shift
Location: Waterloo, IA
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shift, Every Other Weekend
Weekly Pay: $1,640
Position Overview:
Infosage Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced LPN/LVN for a Med-Surg role on the night shift. This position requires an individual with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, including post-operative care experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of EPIC EMR and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Required: 2 years of Med-Surg experience, including post-operative care experience.
- Required: Current LPN/LVN License.
- Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA.
- Required: COVID-19 vaccinated.
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg unit, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring.
- Assist with post-operative care and recovery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the EPIC system, including patient assessments and treatment updates.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the physician or nurse manager.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and post-discharge instructions.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Med-Surg nursing practices and post-operative care.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems (EPIC preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and patient care.
