Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of medical treatment and compassion.
Duties
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
- Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
Qualifications
- Valid RN License
- Proficient in patient care and assessment
- Skilled in catheterization and IV insertion
- Valid BLS Certification
- Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner
Unit Notes
Medical 28 bed unit General Medical patients Cardiology, Pulmonary, Neurology, Nephrology Surgical 22 bed unit General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT 24 hour Hospitalist coverage Staffing Ratio goal of 1:5 on Days and 1:6 on Nights
