Nursing Supervisor Job Description
Job Title: RN-Supervisor
Location: Watertown, NY
Contract: 13 weeks with extensions
Shift: 12 hours Day/Night
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role requires a commitment to maintaining patient safety, adhering to healthcare regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA standards.
- Provide guidance and support in patient care practices, including catheter care and dementia care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on assessments.
- Conduct staff training on essential skills such as anatomy knowledge, eClinicalWorks usage, and ICD-9 coding.
- Oversee the administration of treatments, including dialysis procedures and neonatal ventilator management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and nursing activities.
