Job Title: Shipper/ Receiver
Pay Rate: $19/HR
Duration: 12 months
Location: Birmingham, AL

Shift: 6 am - 2 pm (sometimes start earlier between 4 AM and 6 AM, which is still an 8-hour shift)

This position is for the Healthcare Diagnostics division.

We are looking for a Shipper/ Receiver.

The primary schedule is a 6 AM start; however, they may sometimes start earlier between 4 AM and 6 AM, which is still an 8-hour shift. This role will be receiving shipments, inventory, preparing shipment, cleaning the areas, and taking calls from customers and vendors.

• Packages radiopharmaceutical medicationfor shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Communicate routine logistical functions, including preparing product for shipment, coordinating courier schedules/changes, and documenting as necessary
• Assists with inventory, material storage, and check-in
• Cleans and sanitizes delivery cases, work areas, and high touch points
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required
• Provides excellent customer service by answering telephones, forwarding messages, taking messages, and tracking deliveries
• Assist pharmacy personnel with clerical functions
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Customer service acumen. Ability to answer phones and speak with customers and vendors
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read, listen, and understand technical directions, policies, and procedures
• Effective communication skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure
• Understanding and awareness of radiation safety, quality, & EHS programs
• Ability to lift to 100 lbs occasionally, most items 65-75 lbs, cases with handles

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
