Job Title: Production Controller (2nd shift)
Pay Rate: $20 to $23/HR
Duration: 6 months
Location: Oxnard, CA (Onsite)
Shift: 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM
We are looking for a Production Controller (2nd shift)
- Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for manufacturing industrial and commercial products to support production control by optimizing inventory storage systems.
- Optimize inventory storage systems.
- Interface with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Production Control, and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material.
- Make decisions on part categorization, default bin size, and location
- Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and be meticulous in integration.
- Understand, research, and reconcile traceability.
- Ensure inventory processes comply with quality standards and procedures.
- Participate in 5S and other continuous improvement practices.
- Manage projects using relevant software tools and track to meet completion dates.
- Packing and shipping outgoing orders via UPS, FedEx, and various freight carriers.
- Receive and transact all incoming material in the MRP system.
- Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments by production and shipping schedules.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Experience with inventory operations within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (Deltek Costpoint) system and Microsoft applications.
- Capable of using forklift and other inventory-related equipment
- Minimum of 1-year materials and production control experience
- May require off Friday and weekend support
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
