We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing engineering to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manufacturing processes, project management, and team leadership. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence and ensuring the efficient production of higher-quality products.
The engineering manager position is a key leadership role that will help the facility become world-class in operations. We have a new state-of-the-art facility implementing Industry 4.0 concepts
- Lead, mentored, and managed a team of manufacturing engineers, ensuring effective training, performance management, and professional development.
- Team’s responsibility of support operations for variations in the production process.
- Project improvement Looking for someone with strong leadership experience
- Variety of engineers will report to this person, process engineers, chemical, etc.
- Would like to see candidates with a chemical processing background primarily in manufacturing industries. While Chemical is preferred
- This individual is a key contributor to the site management team for proactively building a site culture of teamwork, accountability, and communication.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to optimize manufacturing operations and ensure equipment reliability.
- Address and resolve manufacturing issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with company goals.
- Work closely with other departments which includes Quality Assurance, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Utilize data to drive decisions and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
YOUR SKILLS
- B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and associated engineering disciplines.
- 10 years of process engineering experience preferred.
- Demonstrated strong management and leadership skills to balance multiple competing priorities for a diverse group of skilled technical personnel.
- Must be an outstanding leader who can implement the company vision by simultaneously challenging their team members and creating strong personal relationships.
- Lean manufacturing experience is required
- Experience working in an ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Must work efficiently within established time frames to deliver manufacturing systems that meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
- Knowledge of process control systems, error proofing, and design for manufacturability analysis.
- Strong experience in Project management and skills in executing scope, budget, Gantt charts, timelines, etc.
- Ability to define problems by collecting and analyzing data, establishing facts, and determining root causes.
- Formulate and test hypotheses and develop valid conclusions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects involving cross-functional teams in a complex global matrix organization.
- Proficient in the use of software including MS Project, MS Office, and SAP or similar MRP experience required.
