Job Title: Welding Technician
Pay Rate: $20 to $24/HR
Duration: 12 months
Location: Rockford, TN
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Five days work schedule includes Sat and Sun; 2 days off are during the weekdays )
Description:
- Maintain critical metals for the production process
- Weld Iridium Crucibles to meet specifications
- Cleaning metals using a media blaster
- Pressing various metals to meet specs
- Operation record keeping, maintaining accurate records of all processing steps on paper and in the database

- You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Following the process of MPI documentation and safety procedures
- Experience working in a product-oriented technical-industrial environment.
- Ability to weld various metals; Iridium, platinum, aluminum.
- Detail Orientated
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with hand tools
Required skills to have for the success of this role
- HS Degree
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs
- Must have welding experience
Comments -
- Set up and weld all types of materials and piping using appropriate equipment and processes.
- Perform all related operations such as acetylene cut, arc gouging, plasma cut, brazing, and soldering.
- Preheat and stress relief.
- Heat treat parts, tools, and materials involving processes such as carbonizing, tempering, annealing, and stress relieving.
- Prep, clean, and stress metal surfaces by grit blasting peening.
- Chip, grind, and clean weldments; preserve as required.
- Assembly diaphragms and parts as required.
- Perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
