Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager 3 to lead and manage complex IT projects within an enterprise-governed environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, vendor coordination, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT projects. This position requires someone with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt to dynamic processes. The role involves working closely with Program and Portfolio Managers and leading IT projects that require oversight, tracking, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that deliverables are met on time, within budget, and according to specified requirements.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with multiple vendors, manage RFS (Request for Services) and RFP (Request for Proposals) processes, and ensure successful vendor engagements.
• Large Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects valued at $10 million or more, ensuring all phases of the project are executed successfully.
• Tool Utilization: Utilize Azure DevOps for project tracking and Clarity or similar Project Management tools to manage project progress, tasks, and deliverables.
• Communication & Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders, team members, and senior leadership. Foster collaboration across various departments.
• Leadership & Adaptability: Work closely with Program and Portfolio Managers, be adaptable to state processes, and demonstrate leadership in driving project success. Provide oversight and guidance while being open to feedback.
• Agile Methodology: Implement Agile methodologies within the project lifecycle, ensuring that teams are operating in an Agile framework and delivering iterative results.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and status reports. Ensure that the project follows all governance and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Project Management Experience: 5 years of recent Project Management experience, managing complex IT projects in a large, enterprise-governed environment.
• Vendor Management: 3 years of experience with RFS and RFP processes, including managing multiple vendors simultaneously.
• Large Project Delivery: Proven experience delivering projects valued at $10 million or more.
• Azure DevOps: 3 years of experience using Azure DevOps for project tracking, task management, and collaboration.
• Project Management Tools: 3 years of experience using Clarity or similar PM tools to manage and track project tasks, schedules, and resources.
• Agile Experience: 5 years of experience working within Agile methodologies, managing teams and projects in Agile environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• PMP Certification: Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in IT projects within large-scale, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Proactive approach with the ability to identify risks early and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.
