Job Title: IT Purchasing Analyst
Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23235
Description:
The Client is seeking an IT Purchasing Analyst to support procurement tasks for IT projects within the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division. The incumbent will handle procurement activities, including obtaining quotes from suppliers, entering requisitions in the eVA procurement system, ensuring timely requisition processing, and proposing contract amendments. The role also involves reviewing and recommending invoices for approval, tracking expenses related to IT projects, updating project budgets and grants, and coordinating with Procurement, IT Division, and grant managers. The position is full-time onsite at headquarters in North Chesterfield, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform procurement tasks related to IT projects, including obtaining quotes, entering requisitions, and processing contract amendments.
- Review and recommend approval/denial of invoices and track VITA-related IT expenses.
- Update and maintain project budgets and grants.
- Coordinate with Procurement Office, VSP IT Division, and grant managers.
- Provide management with reports on procurement activities, invoices processed, and budget/grant balances.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of IT procurement experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with contract management, invoice processing, and budget management.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with public procurement, contracting laws, and state regulations.
- Experience in IT procurements and service contracts.
- Certifications such as Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB).
- Knowledge of the Commonwealth of Virginia, VITA, and VSP procurement policies and systems.
