Position Summary:

The Test Analyst will function as a key member of the testing team within the Treasury division of the Client. This role will involve supporting all aspects of the testing process, including communication, test planning, and execution. The Test Analyst will be involved in functional and integration testing and act as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure the successful delivery of new and updated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP Financials, GenTax, QA requirement analysis, test planning, and defect tracking, with proficiency in using QA tracking tools such as Solution Manager or HPALM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Execution:
• Support test activities by coordinating and collaborating with BA and development teams throughout the testing process.
• Create and execute test scenarios and scripts, ensuring they meet business and technical acceptance criteria.
• Undertake functional and integration testing, ensuring appropriate test coverage with third-party staff.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test scripts, schedules, and reports.
• Test Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting minutes for quality assurance testing assignments and deliverables.
• Act as a liaison with business representatives and stakeholders, providing updates and feedback on test progress.
• Communicate any issues or defects to the Test Lead and escalate critical test-related issues as necessary.
• Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure that only "fit-for-purpose" code is delivered into test environments.
• Monitor the execution of test cases, recording results and reporting on any discrepancies or defects.
• Coordinate re-testing of defects and issues in collaboration with business test representatives and third-party vendors.
• Support risk management, issue management, and change management during testing activities.
• Collaboration and Team Support:
• Work closely with other test team members, IT, and business teams to support the successful completion of testing activities.
• Provide assistance and guidance as needed to team members and other stakeholders during the testing process.
• Attend workshops and meetings involving business and technical representatives to ensure comprehensive test coverage and requirement validation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• SAP Financials
• GenTax experience
• Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) requirement analysis and test planning
• Proficiency in QA execution and defect tracking
• Experience with QA tracking tools such as Solution Manager, HPALM, or similar tools
• Experience:
• 2 years of experience in testing activities in a complex IT environment, preferably within finance or tax systems
• Experience with functional and integration testing
• Experience in preparing test scenarios, scripts, and documentation
• Communication Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders and teams
• Ability to produce clear and concise reports and presentations for project management and business representatives
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking:
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively
• Ability to prioritize test scenarios based on business and technical needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Public Sector: Knowledge of government or public sector processes is a plus
• Healthcare or Tax Systems Experience: Experience with Medicaid, tax-related systems, or financial software solutions is highly desirable
• Test Automation: Experience with test automation tools or frameworks is a plus
• Project Management: Experience with project management processes, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)
