Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT, or, Kalamazoo, MI, or, Malvern, PA, or, Raleigh, NC, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
- Experienced with conducting backup and recovery operational support
- Setup and administer backup units, backup devices, media agent servers etc.
- Analyze backup logs and other trace files and diagnosing problems
- Configure and manage backup and restore activities for file servers, Oracle, SQL databases, Physical servers, VM etc.
- Monitoring daily backup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues and troubleshoot missed and failed backup jobs
- Develop, document, and maintain backup schedule, policy as per the client requirements
- Manage backup media and associated infrastructure components supporting backup and recovery services
- Direct Backup metadata (e.g., catalog) and perform periodic recovery test of the catalog in to ensure integrity
- Provide and implement recommendations to reduce required back up resources, improve quality and efficiency and to reduce back up and retention cost
- Maintain and monitor system replication between data centers as required to meet Disaster recovery requirements for Critical Application Systems and fix failures as required
- Create and update documentation for backup and restore procedures, solution, licensing and applicable projects artifacts
- Provide 24X7 support and on call support on rotational basis
- Possess ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both in written form of email, ticket comments and verbally
- Complete Service Level Agreement adherence and attainment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Aptitude to multi-task in dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of storage systems: NetApp (NetApp NFS, CIFS) or similar file storage, including installation, configuration, software updates and provisioning is good to have
- Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
- Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
- Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
- Exceptional Organizational Skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
- Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
