Java Full Stack Developer

Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer with application maintenance and support experience. The position will primarily be responsible for providing support for the In-House product from customer's requirements. The selected candidate be able to provide user support, maintain and upgrade the applications. Develop new features and write test scripts. Troubleshoot the issues on the systems. Interact with customer process consultants and business SME to understand and analyze various processes. Derive automation opportunities and make recommendations from the product discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Should have at least 2 experience in project lifecycles on development & maintenance projects, estimation methodologies, quality processes.
• Should handle development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, JavaScript, Spring, RESTful web services and microservices
• Should contribute to the technical design for development projects by reviewing and understanding the high level functional specifications
• Should study user requirement, develop specifications, design, review code and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements IN ORDER TO meet user (business) requirements
• Should Plan, define and develop proof of concepts
• Should have good understanding of unit testing methodologies and should conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on one of DB technologies, writing queries etc. – Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL or Postgres.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy a collaborative team environment
• Experience with translating business use cases to technical solutions, user interface design and database structures.
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Turn design concepts into fully working Web applications
• Rapid prototyping of design concepts
• Quickly identify and fix JavaScript and CSS defects
• Collaborate on optimal user experience choices based on business requirements
• Develop high performance, scalable JavaScript code
• Integrate front end code with backend Web services
• Optimize existing JavaScript code
• Create re-usable code snippets and standards for use by other developers
  
  

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
