Job Description
Infosys is seeking a Lead SRE consultant. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be located within Miami, FL or be willing to relocate to the location. This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 7 years of Information Technology experience
Must Have – SRE Skills
Experience in Architecture - App architecture, infra-architecture and DB architecture
Experience in System Performance Management
Strong hands-on experience with DevOps automation tools
Must Have – Development Skills
Expertise in application coding at least 3 of the following languages or environments: Java, Python, Node.js., Angular or React JavaScript for single page web apps, Go or C/C
Strong experience with object orientation, microservices and Distributed Systems
Design, code, test, debug, and document software
Advanced call stack analysis and how the call stack is portrayed across the various programming languages
Repeatable provisioning in the cloud with infrastructure as code using tools like terraform, Azure ARM templates or AWS CloudFormation
Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure in ITSM Operations (Incident Management, Problem Management), Release Management, Change Management etc.)
Exposure to Hardware and embedded system knowledge; Performance evaluation of various hardware modules like memory, IO, network stacks
Knowledge of Agile and Lean Practices
The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
