What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Hands and Feet Support Engineer position at Infosys?
Infosys is seeking for a Network Hands and Feet Support Engineer. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Infra Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Maintain network devices and connectivity across multiple locations in Texas.
• This job requires extensive travel.
• Work with ISPs for fix connectivity issues.
• Replace, repair or install power supply for network devices at client locations.
• Bring down or bring up network devices like switches, routers, WAPs, load balancers, firewall etc. at field locations to assist in maintenance or new project work.
• Work in liaison with client Network support team for day to day operations and project support.
• Good understanding of network bandwidth management, network and firewall protocols, QoS.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Take part in discussion with Business Team/SME’s to understand the requirements and work with architect team to implement optimal solution
• Engaging problem management process for root cause determination & permanent corrective action.
• Training L1/L2 colleagues on various operational topics both technical and process.
• Driving service improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Customer interaction skills.
• Experience in running operations with ITIL processes / ITIL certified.
• Excellent Analytical and troubleshooting skill.
• Excellent in Verbal, written communication.
• CCNA/CCNP certified with good knowledge and experience of working on Network devices.
The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
