Infosys - Legal - Senior Legal Counsel – Americas Employment Law
In the Senior Legal Counsel – Employment Law position, you would be an integral part of the Americas Employment Law Team and provide daily counsel to human resources and business units on substantive legal areas including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline and terminations, leave of absence management, and compliance and benefits. You would also be working closely with internal clients on all aspects of employment law and HR issues to support their legal needs in the Americas, primarily in the USA, but also jurisdictions such as Canada, Brazil and Mexico. You would also manage external counsel in litigation/arbitration and administrative agency matters. Other areas of responsibility could include advising on employment-related provisions in contracts and acquisitions, reviewing and revising internal policies and corporate communications, and joining the Americas Employment Law Team in training initiatives. This role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Americas Employment Law Lead.

Qualifications
Basic:
- 5-8 years of employment law experience in a law firm and/or in-house position
- Strong knowledge of employment law and practices in various jurisdictions across the United States.
- Experience with various types of employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative matters, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour.
- Demonstrated effective written communication skills.
- Desire to train and coach stakeholders at every opportunity in day-to-day interactions.
- Commitment to teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team and fast-paced business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think and decide quickly, and to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to practice law in at least one state in the United States and eligible to practice as in-house counsel.
- Working knowledge or better of French, Spanish, or Portuguese to assist in supporting Canada and Latin America (but not required).
- Interest or experience in process improvement strategies.
- Experience in multi-claimant and class/collective action litigation.
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience.

Salary : $135,000 - $155,000
