Emergency Response Communications Specialist Leesburg, FL
Infotrac, a chemical emergency response company, located in Leesburg, is seeking a full-time phone Emergency Responder.
Your job duties include answering phone calls in a 24-hour call center, collecting information and assisting with leaks, fires, and medical emergencies involving hazardous materials. Candidate must have good working knowledge of computers, related software (such as Microsoft Office and Windows) and associated typing skills. Candidate should be self-motivated and eager to learn. Position offers great opportunities for continuous training, excellent working environment and compensation package including 401k, hospitalization/dental. Firefighting and/or EMT/paramedic experience is a plus although NOT a requirement.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond via phone to spills, exposures and or questions involving chemicals in our database.
- Notify customers of incident details.
- Arrange cleanup if needed and or disposition of freight as needed.
- Create and disseminate detailed report including incident details.
- Respond to routine non-emergency calls as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience with computers.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Outlook
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills a plus although we do train for the job
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
- Proficient command of English, additional languages a plus
- Highschool diploma
