Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Assembly and Soldering Operator to join our team at Medical Device Company, located in Tucson, AZ. As part of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in the assembly of medical devices, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. You will work closely with engineers and quality control teams to meet production goals while adhering to strict regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies for medical devices.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and product specifications to ensure proper assembly and quality.
- Inspect completed assemblies for defects and ensure all components are properly soldered, aligned, and functioning.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections to detect potential issues and rework or repair defects.
- Operate various assembly tools, such as soldering irons, reflow ovens, and hand tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Work within IPC (Institute of Printed Circuits) standards for soldering and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize assembly techniques.
- Record and document assembly activities and test results to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Certification: IPC-610 and IPC-620 certification (or willingness to obtain certification) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in soldering and assembly, preferably in a medical device or similar regulated industry.
- Skills: Proficiency in both through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge: Understanding of medical device manufacturing standards, ISO, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.48 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
