Position Overview:
The Device Production Specialist will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment used in the manufacturing of medical devices. This role ensures that production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment for the production of medical devices, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and quality, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
- Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to ensure that products meet established quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Document production activities, including equipment settings, production counts, and quality checks, in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assist in the training of new operators and production staff on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
- Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and information about production activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device or regulated industry.
· Familiarity with operating manufacturing equipment and understanding of production processes.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of quality management systems and principles.
- Previous experience in a role focused on medical device production.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
