What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Leader position at Infotree Global Solutions?
Monday- Saturday
Will need to be flexible working 2nd or 3rd.
The candidate will work two out of the 3 weekends. Candidate will work two weekends in a row, then will have the following week off.
Candidate can work voluntary Sundays.
2nd shift: 2pm-10pm
3rd shift: 10pm-6am.
People leadership- managed a group of people and holding accountability towards them and others
Union experience working in manufacturing.
Machining experience: Example working in CNC experience and or tooling experience.
CSS machining site. We machine blocks, heads, and cranks. We produce 1500 sets a day. This is 2.0 and 2.7 turbo engine. We support the GNC Canyon, Colorado, Cadillac CT5 and CT6 and Silverado.
· Prioritization of workloads, managing team members (during break down situations) and, strategic planning. They will be managing their own metrics such as safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost. They will do their own payroll.
· Keeping team safe and making high quality parts on time. Within budget, you could easily say budget, but if they're safely producing high quality engines at rate, they'll be in their cost-effective means anyway.
· People leadership, machining experience, and building a team. When I interview, I usually have a question that's directly related to how you build a team if you've got conflict within your team and conflict resolution within a team. What will stand out is the persons team building based on metrics they were responsible for and their experience leading a team.
· GL will have two teams. Each team is 7 people. They will have absentee replacement people. They will work and interact with the blocks, heads, and cranks department group leaders. I do weekly group leader, team leader meetings and I do it across all three shifts so that we can talk about issues and resolving conflict and questions.
· Someone that has thick skin (knowing how to work with the UAW), collaboration (someone that is an extravert and overly communicates) and having concise and effective communication. If someone is shy and does not like to talk will struggle in this role.
· Education Requirements: 2 years of some type of education. Can be in skilled trades, too.
Years of experience requirement: 1 to 2 years of group leading experience in manufacturing
Salary : $40 - $45
