Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Injection Molding Inspector with a strong background in inspection plans for molded components and validation processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience performing measurement inspections in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry. Experience with oscilloscope usage and other inspection tools is highly desirable. The role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of molded components through accurate inspection, testing, and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional and functional inspections on molded plastic components, ensuring they meet established specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain inspection plans and protocols for molded components, ensuring alignment with FDA regulations, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Utilize various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) and equipment to inspect and validate molded components. Perform validation testing of injection molded parts, including stress, strain, and performance tests when necessary.
- Use oscilloscopes and other electrical measurement equipment to monitor and validate the performance of molded components, particularly for electronic and medical device components.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in injection molding inspection, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment, with a focus on medical device components.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, quality control procedures, and inspection methodologies.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Experience with oscilloscopes and other electrical testing tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience in medical device manufacturing and/or working in regulated environments.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $28.35 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
