Position Summary: The Receptionist/Office Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation within our healthcare facility. This position involves managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and supporting healthcare staff to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel, and responding to inquiries.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Process patient registrations, insurance verifications, and billing information.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and other office documents.
Office Management:
- Ensure the front office area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment as needed.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
