Description:
- Manage a team of 2 payroll accountants for payroll related accounting tasks and responsibilities for US, Canada and Europe, including, but not limited to:
- Review various comp and ben related journal entries (regular pay cycle, off-cycle, RSU, ESPP, payroll accruals, etc.)
- Prepare and review various payroll related balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Working together with payroll operations, Business System Engineer and ADP Global View (Vendor) to stabilize recently implemented global payroll system (ADP Global view and ADP Celergo)
- Partner with payroll operation team, FP&A and ADP team (Vendor) to resolve non-reconciling items and other analysis of monthly activity
- Working together with internal and external auditor and SOX team for payroll accounting control walkthrough and audit testing
- Maintain good recordkeeping of all payroll files and sound internal controls
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Perform monthly month-to-month and year-to-year variance analyses for payroll-related expenses such as bonuses, commissions, severance, salaries/overtime, health benefits, and employer-paid taxes to ensure consistency and identify anomalies
- Assist in monthly close process adhering to deadlines
