What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Microsoft Cloud Engineer Consultant position at Infowave Systems, Inc?
Title : Lead Microsoft Cloud Engineer Consultant
Location: Spingfield,MA (Hybrid)
Required Skills :
• 10 years of experience in Microsoft Infrastructure technologies, with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Office 365 / M365 / Azure migrations.
• Extensive practical and applied experience in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, ADFS, SSO, Windows Server, M365, Entra, including backup and restore procedures and active testing of the same.
• 5 years of progressive project management, Working with one or more IT concepts such as DevOps, Agile, ITIL, etc.
• Fluent in PowerShell for automation of System Administration, Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange, both on-premise and in cloud.
• Demonstrated experience driving organizational change through technological achievements.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Security, Cyber Security or related fields, or significant relevant job experience.
• Employing Ansible Automation Platform as a configuration management technology, and/or code management using GIT, CI/CD a plus
• Microsoft Cloud, PMP, ITIL certifications a plus
Responsibilities:
• Conduct Analysis, make recommendations and follow-through on implementations of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure environments, such as tenant configuration and hardening, while being mindful of increasing compliance and security.
• Lead efforts / Liaise between various business stakeholders and Infrastructure Services Department, to ensure proper and timely adoption and execution of M365 and/or Azure Proof of Concept efforts, continuing through adoption as appropriate.
• Advocate for technological evangelism around updating our business processes, technical controls, as well as existing on-prem/cloud environments, to continuously improve business operations while maximizing ROI on Microsoft Cloud Subscriptions & services.
• Modernize corporate e-mail strategy, finalize migration away from on-premises Exchange/MTA/competitive MX offerings, working with application and stakeholder teams as appropriate.
• Lead Microsoft/Windows Server Technical Chapter within Infrastructure Services into the future, providing mentorship to peers to drive change that makes a difference.
