Position Description:
- We are looking to hire a talented software engineer having 7-15 years of experience to join the Advisory team in the Morgan Stanley Bangalore office.
- The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business.
- We are working on a Portfolio Management System to build the next generation of systems using latest technologies and techniques and hence are looking for a software engineer to help drive the development.
Required Skills:
- Functional:
- Should have some experience in financial domain. Understanding of portfolio management functions is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects.
Technical:
- At least 5 years of hand-on DB2/SQL, Stored Procedures, COBOL, CICS and JCL.
- Experience on trading or financial services platform
- Working in Agile model (15 members team) and supports batch (rotational) along with DEV work.
- Good with technical knowledge (basics) SQL Queries, Stored Procedure (native/external), error handling - Abends / SQLCODE, GTTs, DB2 and SQL Server, COBOL / CICS and JCL.
- Experience with MQ and XML Parsing.
- Good knowledge of Concurrency and high-volume server-side development
- Involvement in full Software Development Life Cycle of the project.
