We are looking for a dynamic Client Account Manager/Business Development Specialist to join our team, operating out of Virginia or West Virginia.
Job Summary: The Client Account Manager/Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our high voltage construction business. This dual-role position focuses on managing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the high voltage construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review project progress, gather feedback, and discuss future opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the high voltage construction market.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's client base and market presence.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads and build professional relationships.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, business development activities, and market conditions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on client feedback and market analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities using CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in client account management and business development, preferably in the high voltage construction or a related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the high voltage construction industry, including key players, market trends, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
