Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee high voltage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical infrastructure , specifically high voltage systems (69kV - 500kV) , and experience in managing the design, construction, and commissioning phases of transmission and distribution systems. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of safety and regulatory standards in the power industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage all phases of high voltage construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Prepare detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, cost estimates, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring all work complies with specifications, regulations (e.g., OSHA, NERC), and safety standards.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure technical specifications and design criteria are adhered to.
- Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful project delivery, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage permit acquisition as necessary.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work and ensure high standards of quality and safety.
- Lead project meetings, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide regular project updates to senior management.
- Manage and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, including scheduling delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges.
- Oversee commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all systems meet operational and safety standards.
