Job Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Line Engineer to join our engineering team in Marietta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in transmission line design and analysis, particularly using PLS-CADD software. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring they meet all regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Transmission Line Design : Perform detailed design and analysis of transmission lines using PLS-CADD software. This includes line routing, structure spotting, sag-tension analysis, and optimization of line design for cost and performance.
- Project Management : Assist in managing projects from concept to completion, including the preparation of construction documents, material specifications, and design calculations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry standards such as NESC, ASCE, and IEEE.
- Technical Support : Provide technical support during construction, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that the project adheres to the design specifications.
- Documentation : Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and technical specifications. Maintain organized records of all design work and project documentation.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
