POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the immediate direction of the Sign Shop Manager, the Sign Shop will be responsible for communicating effectively with the manager to fabricate the signs and fill orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently meets deadlines.

·         Communicates effectively to fill customer

·         Helps to count inventory to ensure adequate supplies are maintained on-site to process orders efficiently and to customer standards.

·         Utilizing warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc. per Nevada DOT regulatory requirements and standards

·         Safely managing traffic through active work zones while standing, grasping a stop/slow paddle, and utilizing radio communication

·         Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions; work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required for the position

·         Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Minimum of 2 years of experience with thorough knowledge of sign fabrication

·         Experience with Flagging preferred

·         Ability to read and interpret documents to understand and deliver on client needs.

·         Ability to utilize and maintain sign-designing software and tools used to fabricate signs.

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Effective communication skills including active listening, asking appropriate questions, clarifying the issues, and expressing oneself clearly.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on company needs.

·         Strong analytical and organizational skills for effective delegation of tasks.

·         Cutting, weeding, and finishing the final signs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines.

·         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

·         The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. 

·         Required to walk, sit, stand, bend and stoop.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Silver State Barricade and Sign is located in Sparks, NV.  Local travel may be required.
