Basic Qualifications to Apply
· Wastewater operations experience or certification preferred
· Water operations experience or certification preferred
· Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Applicants must reside within a 30-mile radius of Haring Township, with the preference given to those who reside to the north of Haring.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, holidays, weekends, and be on-call 24/7 for emergencies on a rotating basis.
· A valid MI driver’s license in good standing is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
This is a full-time position with duties that will include but are not limited to; sample collection and laboratory analysis, control of chemical, biological and mechanical processes, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance, tending and maintaining process equipment, maintaining records and reporting, general housekeeping, and grounds maintenance.
Qualified candidates will have leadership experience, team management skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to solve problems. They should also be able to develop and maintain clear communication with clients and the public. The successful candidate will have mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding job that requires both indoor and outdoor work.
The starting rate for this position is $22.00 per hour but will be based on experience.
