Responsibilities

This role involves overseeing the mechanical HVAC design for projects, working closely with the Project Manager from the initial development phase through to project completion.

This role requires a self-motivated individual to design, engineer, and manage HVAC and mechanical systems for various projects, including new installations, system retrofits, replacements, and upgrades.

Key responsibilities include overseeing and implementing energy and load calculations, flow and pressure calculations, equipment selection and specification, system design and layout, field investigations, and construction administration.

You will regularly interface with clients, attend meetings and presentations, and must possess strong communication skills. This position also offers the opportunity to manage an engineering team and mentor junior engineers. You can expect to work on a diverse range of projects, including those in Aviation, Healthcare, Higher Education, Water / Wastewater, Multi-Family Housing, Transportation, Public Safety, Office, light industrial buildings, and more.

Qualified candidates will have :

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer Preferred with 4 years significant project experience
  • Working knowledge of building codes
  • Experience with performing load calculations and duct sizing
  • Successful verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products
  • Revit experience is encouraged.
  • Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design
  • 5 years of experience in MEP design
