Overview
Infrastructure Contractors, Inc (ICI) is a full service sitework contractor with a strong reputation for quality of work and safety. Our services include earthwork, utility installation including storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water lines, as well soil stabilization for a variety of different types of projects. We excel in many field of work such as, but not limited to, large and small industrial developments or buildings, residential subdivisions and commercial properties.
Position Needed: Pipelayer
Install pipe, fittings, manholes, and other items for storm, sanitary sewers, and water lines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Physical labor including moving materials or small equipment from one place to another on jobsites, shoveling and digging, and other tasks as required on a heavy construction site.
· Grade, level, and compact trench bases
· Cut pipes to required lengths
· Install concrete and pvc pipe
· Cover pipes with sand, dirt, or other materials
· Use hand or trenching tools, tamping machines, lasers, grade rods, and levels
· Load & unload equipment, materials, supplies
· Maintain knowledge of safe construction work practices and procedures
Education, Skills & Physical Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar construction role.
· Have transportation to and from job sites in a variety of locations
· Wear and use personal protective equipment as required
· Ability to follow work site instructions
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Shoveling and hand digging
· Ability to climb into and out of manholes and trenches, and climb onto and off of large and small construction equipment and company vehicles
· Regular and predictable attendance
· Successfully pass pre hire drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
