Job Summary:
The Infusion Office Administrative Assistant functions as an administrative staff member of the Infusion Office Team, within an infusion pharmacy office setting. This position is responsible for coordination of care, infusion referrals, nursing requirements, nursing onboarding, and other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates calls to the appropriate individuals.
- Maintain filing and storage systems in the office.
- Retrieve documents and files when requested.
- Establish and maintain employee records.
- Maintains employee data in an efficient manner, provides reports when needed.
- Maintains client data in an efficient manner, provides reports when needed.
- Coordination of care for patients/ infusion referrals
- Effective communication with case managers and infusion nurses
- Create, edit, and update spreadsheets.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education, Certification, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service, preferably at a high-volume call center.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative capacity.
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks at one time, and have good organizational skills.
- Ability to provide excellent/professional customer service, both face to face and on the telephone.
- Excellent Communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking to effectively handle position responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of CPR preferred.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
