Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Specialist for Infusion Center Services, the Infusion Suite Coordinator will assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of infusion center operations in accordance with the business plans for the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaises with Sales, Pharmacy, Nursing, Operations and Billing personnel to support Infusion Center management responsibilities.
- Works with Medical office personnel at Infusion Centers.
- Interacts with Intake personnel regarding new patients, order changes, and prior authorizations.
- Obtains and manages documentation required to dispense and bill for treatments.
- Schedules and reschedules Infusion Suite patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines.
- Manages suite schedules to ensure maximization of chair utilization.
- Interacts with administration and Infusion Center staff to identify and problem solve complex scheduling issues.
- Responds to patient calls timely and appropriately.
- Obtains and updates necessary patient demographic and related data according to policies and procedures.
- Interacts with revenue cycle management staff to provide information needed to secure reimbursement.
- Enters relevant communications in progress notes of pharmacy operating system.
- Manages inventory needs to ensure appropriate par levels at Infusion Center.
- Attending meetings and other functions necessary to perform duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Proficient in computer program applications, knowledge, and skills.
- Communicate with patients and suite to ensure proper delivery of medications.
- Completion of patient assessments.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Specialty Pharmacy or Home Infusion Services experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite products.
- Have a drive for results, competitive spirit, and self-accountability for achievement of company goals.
- Clear and concise communication.
- Proven success across past career positions.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
