Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Recruiter to join our recruitment team. The Nurse Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified nursing professionals for our healthcare organization. This role requires an individual who understands the unique needs of healthcare facilities and the nursing profession, along with the ability to attract and retain top talent in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Recruiting:
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top-tier nursing candidates for various roles (RNs, LPNs, etc.).
- Utilize multiple channels to source candidates, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and partnerships with nursing schools.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and conduct in-person and virtual interviews.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
Collaboration & Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and department managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Foster relationships with local nursing schools, job fairs, and industry organizations to create networking opportunities and stay connected with the nursing talent pool.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth onboarding processes for newly hired nurses.
Candidate Experience:
- Ensure a positive experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide guidance and support to candidates, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the hiring process, role expectations, or organization culture.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of recruiting activities, including interviews, offers, and candidate status in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Generate regular reports on recruitment activities, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline, and diversity metrics.
- Assist in preparing recruitment marketing materials and job advertisements.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive recruitment strategies to maintain an edge in attracting top talent.
Qualifications:
- Licensed RN or LPN
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in recruiting, preferably within healthcare or nursing.
- Familiarity with nursing roles, certifications, and licensure requirements.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and nursing profession.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience recruiting for nursing roles in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of state and national nurse licensure requirements.
Physical Demands:
