Department Overview :
The Structured Products Group (SPG) delivers bespoke financing solutions for ING’s clients with a focus on less liquid assets and longer tenors; mainly, providing collateralized lending to various Bank and NBFI clients with daily mark-to-market of the underlying assets and collateral posting against any exposure.
Products include Total Return Swaps (TRS), Reverse Repos, One-Legged Swaps, Collateral Swaps and Loans with pledge over security; and are usually documented under ISDA / CSA, GMRA or GMSLA.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role :
- Take ownership of the structuring, pricing and execution of solutions required by financial institutions and private investors in Asia.
- This would require close collaboration with other SPG colleagues, the various trading desks, the quant team and the global sales team.
- Generate ideas and find opportunities for new and existing clients & new products through client meetings, research, financial modelling and industry analysis.
- Establish / maintain regular contact with the sales desks, relationship managers and other ING businesses with a view to identifying business opportunities and enhancing Structured Products business with them.
- Manage trades from conception to execution. This will involve leading, co-ordinating and taking full responsibility for every aspect of each step in the process including initial and ongoing liaising with the Client (along with Sales); approvals from Risk, Credit, Tax and Compliance; booking and managing the deal, proactive on-going involvement with all aspects of the deal.
- Follow-up on regulatory evolutions and analyse their impact on our business.
- Ensure our trades and books are properly monitored and managed with accurate risk capture and pnl reporting. This would include monitoring cash flows, triggers and approval conditions.
