Job Description
Work with the Sustainable Finance team on the origination, structuring and execution of Green, Social, Sustainability and Sustainability-Linked Loans and Bonds. Responsible for the origination of mandates through dedicated pitch materials, execution of structuring mandates, and maintenance of active client contact during structuring. Manage external collaboration initiatives and third-party vendor relations including SPO verifiers, ESG rating providers, and impact consultants. Develop Sustainable Finance Frameworks including Green, Social, Sustainability, and Sustainability-Linked for a cross-section of issuers. Provide advice on Frameworks, investor presentations, Q&A decks and investor marketing. Provide advice on evolving ESG trends including policy and regulatory developments including transition, new technological developments, climate change, ESG targets, ESG reporting, ESG ratings, SEC legislation, and ICMA principles. Maintain strong knowledge of global Sustainable Finance market developments including market trends, financial product development, and structuring. Prepare and host in depth sustainability rating advisory workshops for clients. Domestic or international travel up to 25% of time.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and minimum 2 years of [or bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years of] analyst or associate level banking experience working with sustainable finance. Experience must include: executing structuring mandates for sustainable debt capital instrument; pitching and executing new structuring mandates; Debt Capital Markets deal execution; developing Sustainable Finance Frameworks and ESG rating analysis models; providing sustainability rating advisory; performing complex data analysis, visualization and financial due diligence; managing global client relationships within the Sustainable Finance ecosystem; advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills; understanding and advising on application of EU Taxonomy Regulations and supporting acts for corporate, financial, and sovereign issuers; and participating in sustainability-focused investor roadshows and maintaining investor relationships.
