The Role
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for Operations. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Develop training instructors. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing workforce for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. Evaluate and/or oversee matrixed employees and/or contractors to develop and/or administer training programs. Responsible for 2nd shift training operations.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.
Must be willing to work any shift.
Nice to Have
Ability to work in terms of meeting the organizational objectives and schedules
General understanding of diverse craft disciplines in shipbuilding
Previous experience as a craft technical facilitator, instructor, OJT/OJM role in manufacturing environment
