Our client is a landscape architecture, urban planning & civil engineering firm that is privately held in Kentucky. Due to growth, they are looking to add a Civil Engineer to their growing team. This position offers the flexibility to live in either the Louisville, KY, or Lexington, KY area (hybrid schedule). See below for the position details :
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborative Design : Work closely with landscape architects and designers to ensure the seamless integration of civil engineering solutions into landscape projects.
- Site Analysis & Planning : Conduct site assessments, evaluate topography, drainage patterns, soil conditions, and other environmental factors to inform project design.
- Stormwater Management : Design and implement effective stormwater management systems, including detention ponds, bioswales, and rain gardens, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Grading & Drainage Design : Prepare grading plans, coordinate drainage solutions, and design erosion control measures to manage surface water runoff and enhance site sustainability.
- Infrastructure Design : Design roads, pathways, parking areas, utilities, and other infrastructure elements, ensuring their alignment with the overall landscape design vision.
- Permitting & Compliance : Navigate local zoning codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes, ensuring all civil engineering aspects meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Construction Support : Review and approve construction drawings, provide technical support during the construction phase, and ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
- Project Coordination : Manage timelines, budgets, and project documentation, ensuring efficient coordination between all team members, contractors, and clients.
- Sustainability & Innovation : Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in sustainable design, green infrastructure, and new technologies to continuously enhance project outcomes.
- Client Interaction : Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering technical insights and recommendations to help clients achieve their desired project outcomes.
