About the Role - The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the department or departments assigned in an industrial manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring that production goals are met, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, and leading a team of shift supervisors and employees to ensure that all safety and quality standards are met. The Sr Operations Manager will also be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles and practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational plans to meet production goals
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility
- Lead a team of employees in all aspects of production
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- Black Belt Certification
- Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing specifically working with equipment-based manufacturing
- Some union experience required
- Strong work ethic
- Expected to be on the plant floor a large portion of the time
