The Mechanical Engineer II is a vital member of the Mechanical Design team at Ingenuity Engineers. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop mechanical design documents. These documents are primarily intended for use in producing drawings necessary for the mechanical permit of facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze advanced mechanical / HVAC theory / calculations, mechanical system components and devices.
- Interpret codes, standards and design inputs with the ability to apply them within the design.
- Develop calculations, design narratives and work that serve as the basis for HVAC system designs and project specifications, working independently with minimal direction.
- Serve as Engineer of Record for projects developed under their direction.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing construction feedback and specific guidance on how to improve their designs and achieve project objectives.
- Mentor associates with less experience, providing guidance and training to support their professional development.
- Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, energy calculation, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other basic software to support setting up projects and assist in project flow.
- Apply advanced engineering principles to solve technical and coordination issues.
- Manage project designs and budgets with limited oversight.
- Attend internal coordination meetings with the ability to take and give direction, make technical decisions and ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct site visits and investigations independently or with minimal supervision, as required.
- Cultivate relationships with clients to foster additional projects.
- Enhance leadership and management abilities.
- Provide cross-disciplinary technical and engineering assistance.
- Contribute to business development efforts.
