What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Repair Technician position at Ingerman?
As a Maintenance Technician at Ingerman, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties. Your responsibilities will include performing repairs, troubleshooting, and carrying out preventative maintenance on assigned properties. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the condition of property grounds and buildings and completing work orders in a timely manner. To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, EPA certification, and HVAC certification. Additionally, you must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays. We are looking for a team player who can work independently and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance
- Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents
- Conducts maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems
- Removes snow, ice, and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways/parking spaces
- Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule
- Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays-resolves as circumstances warrant
- Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work-remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas, keep the dumpster area clean, and vacuum, sweep, and mop common areas
- Walks the grounds and common areas daily; removes litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, parking areas, sidewalks, ramps, and indoor spaces
